Austrailian Supercar driver Mark Winterbottom lost his front brakes heading into The Chase after one of the fastest straights in motor racing: Mount Panorama’s Conrod Straight. Here’s why you need functioning brakes at the infamous Bathurst 1000. According to the Supercars commentators, Winterbottom was traveling nearly 300 kph (186 mph to those of us watching from the U.S.) when he couldn’t brake properly for The Chase’s hard left-hand turn. Winterbottom’s rear brakes locked up, and sent hi..>> view originalGoogle Tango Latest News & Update: Lenovo Phab 2 Will Launch Next Month! Incredible Features, Specs, Price ...

Angus LivingstonAustralian Associated PressIs it weird sitting in a driverless shuttle bus as it slowly drives you along a Melbourne road? No. In fact it's almost unsettling how quickly normal it seems. The Transdev shuttle humming through Albert Park on Sunday is already in full use in Europe, moving at a top speed of 40km/h.If you've ever been a passenger in a bus or even in a theme park ride, the experience is similar. There's an emergency stop button and an automated ramp that slides out when n..>> view originalSamsung Galaxy Note 7 and Donald Trump: Train Wreck of a Campaign
Apologies up front for bringing politics here, but over the past 24 hours or so, my Twitter timeline is filled with Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Donald Trump, both for all the bad reasons. Donald Trump is caught (yet again) for his misogynist talks and crude sex talk, while yet another “replaced” Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has caught fire in the US. And I’ve no clue why either of them are still persisting with their campaigns. I’m no expert in Political commentary, and I wouldn’t like to get my hands ..>> view original10 reasons why I preordered the Google Pixel phone
I really liked the Google Pixel phone when I tried it out the other day. I gave it some thought, and then, two days later, I logged on to the Google Store and pre-ordered one. At $649, it’s on the high end for a Google phone, right up there with the iPhone 7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7. Only the Nexus 6 of 2014 cost as much from the get-go. For the sake of comparison, the Nexus 5 started at $349 in 2013, while last year’s Nexus 5X cost $399, and the Nexus 6P cost $499. So the question is whether..>> view originalBigger spacecraft planned for long Mars trip: NASA director
The spacecraft which will take people to Mars will have a massively increased living space as mission lengths shift to years rather than weeks, one of NASA's directors said. And the goal to land humans on Mars in the 2030s can occur without any notable boost to the famous space agency's budget.
