Cardinal George Pell has meet with Ballarat victims of child sexual abuse, in what he called a “hard, honest and occasionally emotional meeting." It came after four days of testimony to the Royal Commission via videolink in Rome, where Cardinal Pell continuously denied personal wrongdoing and knowledge of paedophile priests in Victoria in the 1970s and ‘80s, and alleged several Catholic officials who did have knowledge deceived him for decades.
